ANSI/TIA-942

電信工業協會（Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) ）是由美國國家標準協會（ANSI）認可，為各種信息和通信技術（ICT）產品制定自願的、基於共識的行業標準，目前代表近400家公司。TIA的標準和技術部運營著12個工程委員會，為私人無線電設備、蜂窩電話塔、數據終端、衛星、電話終端設備、無障礙設施、VoIP設備、結構化布線、數據中心、移動設備通信、多媒體組播、車輛遠程信息處理、醫療保健ICT、機器對機器通信和智能公用事業網絡制定準則。

TIA的ANSI/TIA-942數據中心電信基礎設施標準是美國國家標準（ANS）之一，規定了數據中心和計算機房電信基礎設施的最低要求，包括單一租戶的企業數據中心和多個租戶的企業數據中心。ANSI/TIA-942的認證意味著為客戶提供國際公認的標準進行了評估，並按照相應的高的質量和服務水平運作，從而進一步保該證認是被廣泛接受的、可信的和公正的。

ANSI/TIA-942有關冗余的等級（Redundancy Levels）

最新版的ANS1/TIA-942-B（Rev.B）已經不再使用Tier 1至Tier 4的分級標準。而改用Rated 1至Rated 4來進行分級。

• Rated-1 Data Centre: Basic

• - Single path for power and cooling without redundancy
• - Many single points of failure

• Rated-2 Data Centre: Redundant components

• - Single path for power and cooling with component redundancy i.e. N+1.

• Rated-3 Data Centre: Concurrently maintainable

• - Dual paths for power and cooling of which one is active allowing maintenance or testing on one path without causing interruption to the critical load

• Rated-4 Data Centre: Fault-tolerant（最高級）

• - Dual active paths for power and cooling
• - Allows for one fault

如今在TIA官網可以搜索到，由TIA認證的大中華區的數據中心只有9家。其中中國大陸、香港、台灣分別各有3家。

9家之中只有位於香港將軍澳的這家叫Telehouse Hong Kong CCC的數據中心獲得了TIA Rated 4的最高等級認證。其他數據中心大部分為Rated 3，少量為Rated 2。（Telehouse的母公司KDDI是一家日本的電訊公司，在日本三大綜合電訊供應商中（NTT、KDDI、Softbank）排名第二，其母公司為以精密製陶起家，目前以生產電子製品為事業主力的日本跨國科技公司——京瓷）

其他數據中心標準 Standards used for data centres

• Standards do exist for sub-components

• - Electrical: EN 50160, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 55011, IEC-61643-1, etc.
• - Earthing: MIE-REBT-039, EN-50310
• - EMF: EN 61000-4-8, EN 55022, EN 55011
• - Environmental: IEC-61340-5-1, ASHRAE
• - Raised floors: BS/EN 12825, UK-PSA PF2
• - Networks: ISO-11801, EN 50173, TIA-568
• - Fire protection: NFPA-75, NFPA-2001

• Typically these standards are generic and are not always data centre specific

• - Specific requirements might need to be given to suppliers and contractors

國際標準還是本地標準（International VS National standards）

• Most national standards are derived from international standards
• National standards, codes of practice, guidelines etc. always overrule international standards, codes of practice and guidelines
• Always check the local standards and ensure compliance

雖然，大多數地方標準都是基於國際標準的，由於國際標準通常比較通用，主要面向適用於世界上所有國家，但是，當地標準其實更為重要，作為最低要求，必須確保遵守地方標準。
